Ecuador will debut in the Deaflympics

Amid the applause of those present, 7 of the 9 athletes who will represent the country in the 23rd edition of the Deaflympics Games, were paid tribute yesterday by the National Government and the Embassy of Turkey, the country that will host the games from 18 to 30 July.
Jonathan Tasinchana, Jerson Espinoza, Hilton Rosales and Carlos De la Rosa; Swimmers Ángel Sánchez and Luis Siavichay; Taekwondo fighter Danny Chávez, and tennis players Andrés Vázquez and Steeven Tigrero are part of the national team, they have been in Ottoman territory since last week.
Ambassador of Turkey in Ecuador Korkut Güngen gave them a flag of their country and was pleased that Ecuador will officially participate for the first time in these games. (I)
