Ecuador will exhibit its fruits and vegetables in Germany, at the Fruit Logistica Trade Fair
Ecuador was named as the official partner country of Fruit Logistica 2020, which will take place for two days in Berlin, starting on February 5th.
During the main exhibition for the global fruit trade, Ecuador will present its agricultural heritage worldwide, positioning itself as an international and versatile producer of fresh, sustainable fruits and vegetables of the highest quality.
The Fruit Logistica 2019 will host more than 78,000 visitors from 135 countries and 3,200 exhibitors from 90 nations.

For Ecuador, being the official partner of this worldwide trade fair is the perfect opportunity to present your export of fruits and vegetables.
Also to establish new contacts in both wholesale and retail channels, especially import companies interested in acquiring fresh, diverse and high-quality products. Between 2014 and 2018, Ecuador exported more than $ 3.5 billion in fresh produce, mainly to Russia (18%), United States (16%), Italy (7%), Germany (7%), Turkey (5%) and China (4%).
Export volumes increased by 15%, from 6.2 million tons in 2014 to 7 million tons in 2018.
During the same period, Ecuador’s main exports included bananas (6 million tons), bananas (212 tons), baby bananas (139 tons), pineapples (81 tons), broccoli (74 tons) and mangoes (60 tons).
At Fruit Logistica 2020, Ecuador will reach its goal by exposing its diversified production with the presentation of potential fresh export products such as tree tomatoes, soursop, mortiño (Andean cranberry), pineapples, grapes, papayas, avocados, pitahayas, among other products. The country was exhibited for the first time in this showcase in 2002.
Next year (2020), Ecuador’s participation will be organized by the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock, Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries and the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Promotion of Exports and Investments.
