Ecuador will receive three credits for 3,000 million dollars
The Government will end the year with more debt. Until December three lines of credit for about 3,000 million are expected.
According to the Coordinator Minister of Economic Policy Patricio Rivera, two operations will grant unrestricted funds. The third, he emphasized, is tied to strategic projects.
Although he did not precise amounts or sources of funding-because the negotiation is still underway- Rivera anticipated that these are bilateral credits. China, for example, is one of the creditors interested in the strategic sectors.
Until August, according to the Ministry of Finance, both internal and external public debt reached 32.558 million dollars. Of that total, 20,382,000 correspond to commitments abroad.
Rivera clarified that in 2016, the need for state funding will not exceed 2,500 million.
