Sunday April 17, the day after the earthquake that devastated great part of Manabi and a sector of the province of Esmeraldas, actor Roberto Manrique traveled to San Vicente, where a collection center for assistance was installed.
He arrived with a van full of water and medicine and from that day he has not stopped seeking donations and volunteers for the Manabi area. Although his career is developed in Miami (United States), Colombia and Mexico, he came to Ecuador in April 16 and has stayed here since then. Other Ecuadorian artists who live abroad decided to return to help their fellow countrymen in this tragedy.
Gerardo, music producer and hip hop singer who resides in the United States, traveled to Guayaquil and from there, he moved to Bahia de Caraquez, Portoviejo and Manta, where he has recorded audiovisual testimonies to ask for donations, but also prayers through his social networks.
Guayaquil actor Danilo Carrera, who develops his work between Miami and Mexico, was also in Ecuador to offer his support. Through his social networks he has promoted donations. He has also visited collection centers and traveled to Manabi and carried cartons with contributions for the victims.
