Ecuadorian Jesuits celebrated in honor of Pope Francisco
Yesterday, the Jesuit community in Quito celebrated what they consider one of the most important moments in its history, since Jorge Mario Bergoglio, one of their own, is currently the highest authority of the Church.
The Jesuits began their celebration with a special mass that was held in the Church of the Company and started at 10:33; about 300 parishioners gathered in the historic Temple.
The provincial principal of the Jesuits, father Gilberto Freire, led the ceremony where he thanked from the altar for the massive assistance and invited all to pray for God to pour blessings on Francisco.
According to Gilberto Freire, the proliferation of aspirants to the priesthood is very notorious, as well as the growth of the faithful who attend to the Church of Christ, Francisco, within a few days in front of Catholicism, is “renewing the relationship between humanity and the Lord”, he emphasized.
