Ecuadorian Residents in Egypt are Safe

The Ecuadorian Embassy in Cairo is in constant contact with the few compatriots that remain in the North African country. During the last days of riots in Egypt, the Embassy of Ecuador in the African country confirmed that the Ecuadorian community that worked in multinational companies were sent to their home country, the report concluded with the well being of the Ecuadorians.

However, there is no information regarding the possible Ecuadorians apprehended or wounded during the protests. Meanwhile the diplomatic mission maintains direct contact with the few Ecuadorians that remain in country.
