Educational institutions may not charge fees by holidays months

The private and public educational institutions may not charge fees of the vacation months (July-August) . This according to an instructive from the Ministry of Education, prepared for the parents on charging of school supplies, uniforms and school tuition.
Moreover, these schools will not be able to require prepayment or enrollment´s fee for next year. Likewise, it is forbidden to deny the right to education to students, either by delay or nonpayment of tuition by the the parents.
The Portfolio of State also recalls that the value of the uniforms, and textbooks that are requested by the prosecutor or private institution must not exceed the equivalent of a unified basic salary, $ 340.
