El Universo Hearing was Schedule for Tomorrow

Revocation and appeal hearings in El Universo case were scheduled a new date. The hearings will be held this Friday, although they were originally scheduled for October.

The newspaper’s lawyers criticized the extent that in their opinion “fits the agenda of the president.”

Martha Gomez, secretary of the Second Division of Criminal Guarantees said before 09h00 (GTM) that in the next 30 minutes the new ruling would be delivered into the judicial lockers of the parties.

However president, Rafael Correa, had already announced at about 06:00 today the new date, at his Twitter account.
