Elections will have OAS Observers

Even when it was pointed out that the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR for its Spanish acronym) was the only ones to act as observers in the upcoming elections of Ecuador on February 17. The National Electoral Council (CNE) ended up inviting delegations of the Organization of American States (OAS).

In the beginning the argument that this kind of events do not need the observation of “strangers,” it had been said that the convenient is that they be “from the same region” who carry out this task. However, the CNE faces these doubts and complains generated by such, mainly for the Independence subject, and finally that OAS is present in the upcoming commissions.
