October 19

• The registration period and qualification of candidates begin.
• Political groups must register their representative and the head of campaign.

November 15

• Last day to register candidates. Deadline closes at 18:00 that day.

November 20

• Selection of members of polling stations (JRV for its Spanish acronym).
• The members of the JRV will be notified and trained from 21 November to 16 February.

January 4

• The election campaign begins. It lasts 42 days.

February 14

• End of the election campaign.

February 15

• The electoral ban and alcohol prohibition begins.

February 17

• Ecuadorian elections

Yesterday, the CNE, gave the list of approved political groups to participate in Ecuadorian elections of 2013.
