Electoral Term Expires Tomorrow According to CNE Schedule

Tomorrow is the deadline for organizations and political movements to deliver the required documentation to participate in the elections of February 17, 2013, according to the schedule approved by the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym).

The CNE does not clear yet what will be of the groups already qualified and those pending, after the alleged forgery of signatures in support of mass political movements, was given.

The final resolution of the CNE, approved last August 5, established the 100% review of data submitted by the political forces for its registration and issued a new deadline for new data to be delivered in case of irregularities in the support signatures of different political movements.

In case of failure to complete the required 157,689 signatures (1.5% of registered voters), the registration or reregistration of political organizations with irregularities, would be without effect. MZ
