Emelec Could Be Seized

On September 28 of 2010 Attorney Pablo Villavicencio, Issfa coercive judge, ordered to evaluate the assets of Emelec, for a debt amounting of $ 448,099.10 from the rent of a Sport club at Los Samanes.

The lease was signed on January 22 of 2002, the document states that Emelec would pay a monthly fee of two thousand dollars for the rent of the land where is now the sport Club at Los Samanes, and the lot where the minor divisions of Emelec trained; since last week became the housing plan “Estrella del Mar”, owned by ISSFA.

Emelec assures that the stadium Capwell cannot be seized, because the suites and stage boxes belong to natural people, but Pamela Pino, ISSFA attorney, believes that “any juridical figure that Emelec stand is not appropriate, because the club has an outstanding debt, and should pay or present assets in order to pay the value.”

“In December (2010) was given a trial by the court’s coercive ISSFA in Quito. It is already ordered the seize of Capwell Stadium, now it is in stage of assessment,” said Pino.
