Energy Ministry Reiterates New Electric Consumption Rates

The Communication Secretary of Ecuador, Fernando Alvarado, said last night through his Twitter account that in terms of electricity rates during winter in the coastal region, the basis to calculate the electric consumption will rise from 500 to 700 kW.

This morning, through a brief statement, the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy said he has decided to apply the measure from 700 kwh / per month between December and May due to concerns generated around the new rate schedule for residential customers of the electricity sector.
