EQUIPO Fails To Succeed the Signature Review

Yesterday the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) rejected the judicial inspection of the 142,293 signatures and invalidated 78% of the rubrics of affiliation that EQUIPO, the political movement of Fabricio Correa, had sent.
The intention of Fabricio Correa, the brother of the Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, was to detect any irregularities in the informatics system of verification of the 100% of signatures that the CNE began on August 28 to determine if they are authentic.
The CNE vice president, Paul Salazar, stated that the increase number of invalid signatures of EQUIPO during the reviewing of the verification process. The comparison was made with the database of the Electoral Council. AV
