Los Grammy premian hoy lo mejor de la música

La Academia Nacional de Artes y Ciencias de la Grabación premiará esta noche a las más destacadas figuras de la música en la edición número 55 de los Grammy.

Artistas como Kanye West y Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons y FUN, son algunos de los nominados para esta gala de la música mundial quienes representan a los géneros más predominantes como lo son el Hip hop, R&B, rock, folk e indie pop.

En esta edición, la sorpresa fue la ausencia de las estrellas nacidas de YouTube, como Justin Bieber y PSY, al igual que los talentosos One Direction y Nicki Minaj.

El eslogan de los premios este año es: The world is listening (El mundo está escuchando), una apuesta de la Academia para los músicos aficionados de EE.UU, que consistió en la creación de un espacio Amplifier, en el que anónimos pudieron subir sus demos hasta el 2 de enero.

En este 2013, la Persona del Año es Bruce Springsteen, conocido por su participación en una serie de proyectos filantrópicos. El reconocimiento lo da la fundación MusiCares, vinculada a la entidad organizadora principal.

Los Grammy contarán con una participación especial, previa a la gala: la actuación de un grupo de la escuela Sandy Hook, de Newton, Connecticut, donde 26 personas fueron asesinadas en diciembre pasado.
