Esmeraldas will be the fourth city of diffusion of the 16 draft amendments
Esmeraldas will become the fourth city where members of the Assembly Commission, which processes 16 amendments to the Constitution, will disseminate the project.
This process was already carried out in Montecristi, Guayaquil and Ibarra, where lawmakers picked up observations from the citizenry that will be systematized and presented at the end of the difussion.
The meeting will take place in the Municipality of Esmeraldas, and both members of the ruling party and the of the CREO movement were ready to present their arguments and show their support. In the same way, the ruling party announced it will be a public session and there will be room for all arguments that arise.
Lasso warned last March 9 he would be present in all cities where the Commission hold its sessions. His aim is to publicly reject indefinite reelection and promote a referendum as the most appropriate way for constitutional changes.
