EU and U.S. initiates new trade negotiations
Posted On 14 Jul 2014
The European Union (EU) and the United States today start a new round of negotiations in search of exchange of goods and services, regulation, public markets, environmental and workers protection, energy and raw materials.
“We will try to advance in all aspects of the regulatory agenda … About this there will be new proposals on the table,” pointed out EFE news agency.
Europeans and Americans will address some unfinished business of trade and sustainable development, trade facilitation in customs or energy and raw materials, something that the EU considers it should have a separate chapter in the agreement, European sources said.
Although there is not a fixed term for concluding the negotiations, the sources trust they finish in early 2016.
