Evangelist Yiye Avila past away

Jose Joaquin Yiye Avila
Jose Joaquin Yiye Avila died yesterday at 87 years old in his home in Camuy, northern Puerto Rico, over a heart attack.
He was a famous evangelist leader who, in the seventies, founded the religious group Ministerio Cristo Viene, which spread to the Dominican Republic, Central America and the United States and whose main message was to proclaim that the arrival of Jesus was imminent and to ask for the quick salvation of sinners.
Some incredible miracles were attributed to him through prayers for the sick, and he attended mass evangelist crusades on several occasions in Ecuador. From 1988, he broadcasted his TV Show “La Cadena del Milagro”, which reached more than one hundred countries in the world.
The death of the religious leader, who had 53 years as head of the Ministerio Cristo Viene, was due to a heart attack.
Born in 1925 in Camuy, Yiye was a chemistry and biology teacher for more than two decades before turning entirely to religion.
