Exclusive: International Model Ilona Nesterova Will Model in Miami Fashion Week for Ecuadorian Designers

The famous Ukrainian model, Ilona Nesterova, visits our country for the model fashion show held for the Ecuadorian designers. Today Ilona modeled at the Hilton Colon Hotel of Guayaquil, Ecuador; in a runway organized by the model agency of the Ecuadorian fashion entrepreneur, Cecilia Niemes.

Now Nesterova will model for Niemes in the upcoming MIAMI BEACH INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK, in order to support the work of Ecuadorian designers. The event will be held from March 21 to 24 in the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Recently Ecuador Times had the opportunity to interview Ilona to talk about her career as a professional and international model.

When and how you started with your modelling career?

I started my modelling career when I was 15 years old in Kiev. I went to a school of modelling and I was working in model agencies since I was 16.

How do you keep your figure?

I do exercise I visit sports clubs. I have my personal trainer and I love swimming. Usually, I try to exercise with a group of people because I like it when everyone is suffering, not only me. [Laughs].

What inspired you to pursue this career?

Every little girl is dreaming about a beautiful future as a princess or something like that, and when I was a little girl I was reading nice books about beautiful princesses and there were pink dresses and long hair, so, it was a dream, and it came true. My favourite book was Cinderella

If you haven’t become a model, what would you liked to do?

I’m not only modelling, I have a masters degree in Law. So, I’m doing both. I got my Attorney Degree in Ukraine. In the Original Academy of Personal Management.

How long have you been working as a model?

I’ve had done commercials, runways, a lot of work, we’ve had so many events I can’t tell you only one. I’ve mostly done commercials and photo shoots, and also worked with Ukrainian designers. We have very good Ukrainian designers, too.

How long have you worked with Cecilia Niemes?

We’ve been communicating with Cecilia Niemes for a long time, but we hadn’t seen each other. Then we met. This is not the first time we’ve met, but it’s been good to have her as an acquaintance because she is so kind and so wonderful.

Is this your first time in Guayaquil, Ecuador?

This is my first visit to Guayaquil, Ecuador. I’m planning to visit Iguana’s Park. I like the city, I can tell in Spanish “Me gusta Guayaquil. Me gustan las personas de Ecuador”. I visited the Galapagos Islands. It’s something incredible that you have, that Ecuador has. It’s such a beauty and it’s a real heritage of nature that you keep, the Galapagos Islands. (AV)
