Export online, the definitive program to internationalize SMEs

Posted On 10 May 2024

Traditionally it has been considered that exporting requires a lot of capital or large quantities of production, and it is true, the fact is that today, with the advent and development of applied technologies, the option of exporting for small and medium-sized companies implies a blue ocean of opportunities.

The vast majority of productive units in Latin America are family-owned and have limited capital; however, many of them produce products of high quality and high perceived value. The point is that competing internationally is almost impossible, due to multiple barriers. Here the question is what prevents selling to other markets today that technology allows it?

Certainly very few barriers.

For example, today, an artisan specialized in manufacturing high-quality footwear can sell his products to the global public at premium prices, using platforms and channels that until very recently were available, or had not been developed.

Another example: A producer of handmade organic fertilizers, in the recent past would never have even had the possibility of selling his offer to the rest of the world, today he can do so, because logistics allows it, both in our countries and in the United States. and Europe.

In the USA, a little before the pandemic, a business model began to consolidate that activates models such as P2P or Person to Person -direct sales-, or B2B2C (Business To Business To Customer) or sales through marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Etsy or Ebay, so that it facilitates the distribution and delivery process, allowing the entrepreneur to dedicate himself to his work, since the rest is done by fulfillments, such as Rackseeker, from Atlanta, GA., archetypal companies of the distribution and delivery model. that help SMEs scale quickly, permanently and sustainably.

In the first four months of 2022, Ecuador’s traditional exports totaled USD 4,066.6 million, a value higher by 37.2%; while non-traditional products reached USD 3,002.8 million, 21.6% more than in 2021, the latter comprising goods and/or products that have been incorporated into international markets in recent years, such as natural flowers, other fruits tropical fruits, fruit juices and preserves, canned fish, wood, among others relevant at a macroeconomic level, but there are many more relevant at a microeconomic or microbusiness level, with turnover from $200 thousand to $2 million, or more.

In Ecuador there is great entrepreneurial potential, which despite the political instability of recent years, has been consolidated with high quality products, but requires guidance to reach its full potential in international markets.

Thinking about all of the above, the exporting company CJP INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS S.A. is developing EXPORT BY INTERNET, an online program that will focus on triggering the creative and management capacity of SMEs to sell internationally, since the focus is P2P or B2B2C, so the objective is to boost sales in small annual amounts that allow generating attractive margins that make it easier to capitalize on ventures so that they consolidate their activities and scale over time.

The topics that will be developed are, for example, how to sell online in the United States, as well as how to sell on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc., how to make grounded and easy-to-apply business plans will also be taught, in addition, aspects legal, tax, logistical and more topics of importance to thousands of businessmen and entrepreneurs seeking to sell internationally.

Exporting over the Internet seeks to activate at least 1,000 companies that sell $150,000 annually, which will imply $150,000,000 in foreign currency for the country, and at a micro level, it is expected to obtain 35% profitability, or $52,000 for the business unit. The alternative that EPI offers is to generate international income in addition to the current market, in this way, income of $50,000 is not bad.

Another point to highlight is that with Internet exporting you will learn to shorten development and management times, that is, while in traditional exporting it can take up to three years before making a sale, with the P2P or B2B2C model it can take a maximum of one year. year, in addition to the fact that the implicit investments are much lower than those required by traditional exports.

The EPI school is based on technical knowledge plus experience acquired over years in the international business industry.

Export over the Internet is an unprecedented program, whose content is permanently updated and will be of great relevance for entrepreneurs. It will also have 1-on-1 personal tutoring and support groups on Telegram and Discord. Reserve your spot now by clicking here!

If you want to review in general terms what the program will be about, please click here.

If Ecuador wishes to knock on the doors of development needs to activate 250,000 entrepreneurs in the next ten years who sell internationally $150,000 annually (nothing more!), that will imply $37.5 billion dollars annually. Exporting over the Internet is the first step.
