FARC Leader considers complicated that peace agreement with Colombia be signed this year
The leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) Rodrigo Londoño, alias “Timoshenko” ruled out today that the guerrilla signs the peace with the Government of Colombia this year, as the president Juan Manuel Santos aspires.
“Timoshenko” said that the process will be delayed by the complexity of the elements that surround the debate on the fourth item on the agenda of peace, which begins today in Havana , and it will address the recognition and redress for victims of the conflict, according to an interview published on the website of the armed group.
Londoño added that although “we all want that things go well as soon as possible,” the issues of the agenda must be addressed with “objectivity”
In addition, he recalled that the end of hostilities must also be addressed between the parties, warning that these issues “are not going to be simple.”
