FARC Released the Last 10 Uniformed Hostages
The 10 hostages freed by the FARC met with their families after 14 years in captivity in the jungle of Colombia. Last Monday in an army and a police plane the ten men gathered at the Villavicencio airport in Bogota accompanied by a humanitarian commission to reunite with their loved ones.
The protagonists of this sad story are the militaries Luis Arturo Arcia, Robinson Salcedo, Luis Alfredo Moreno and Luis Alfonso Beltran. Arcia was kidnapped in 1998, as well as Salcedo; while Moreno disappeared on August of 1988.
Meanwhile the released police officers were Cesar Augusto Lasso, Jose Libardo Forero, Jorge Trujillo Solarte, Jorge Humberto Romero, Carlos Jose Cuarto and Wilson Rojas Medina. The last time Lasso saw his youngest son had 15 months. Forero vanished in 1999 as well as Trujillo, meanwhile Romero was received in his home with salsa and Duarte met his granddaughter of 3-years.
