FIFA announced the list of candidates for the Ballon d’Or of the World Cup

FIFA has made official this Friday the list of nominees for the Golden Ball for the Best Player of the World Cup Brazil 2014.
Candidates are four German players (Mats Hummels, Philip Lahm, Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller), three Argentines (Javier Mascherano, Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria), plus Colombian James Rodriguez, Brazilian Neymar and Dutch Arjen Robben.
The candidates have been selected by the Technical Study Group of FIFA and on the 14th day, one day after the dispute of the final at the Maracana stadium, the winners of the Golden, Silver and Bronze Balls will be announced as the three best players in the World Cup.
Seven of the 10 nominees by the FIFA play in Argentina and Germany, the two teams that will face off in the Final Match on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro.
