FIFA sold a million tickets, the first day

The total supply of tickets to watch the matches of Brazil World Cup in 2014 is 3.7 million and, on the first day, a million were solicited online.
In seven hours, 163,000 fans placed their orders, for the opening matches and the final. Most applicants are from Brazil, Argentina, USA, Chile and the United Kingdom.
Most of the tickets requested were the cheapest.

The first phase of ticket sales will run until October 10. The sale is made by game, category (central, side and behind the goals) and a maximum of 4 tickets for buyer, for the same match.
