First debate between Romney and Obama
Posted On 04 Oct 2012
Yesterday, Wednesday, the first debate between Democratic candidate for the presidency of America, Barack Obama, and the Republican candidate, Mitt Romney, was held.
Specific points of debate:
1. Both candidates avoided talking about the non-negotiable principles and focused the debate on the economy and the controversial health care law.
2. Romney used the situation in Spain to attack Obama: “Spain spends 42% of its economy in government spending, I do not want to go that way.”
3. As for non-marketable securities, Obama supports gay marriage and abortion.
4. Romney, however, does not support gay marriage but he does on abortion in cases of rape, incest and when the life and health of the mother is endangered. (MZ)
