Former president of Banco Cofiec dies in a traffic accident

Late Monday of March 9 in a traffic accident in Simón Bolivar Avenue in Quito, died the former executive president of the bank Cofiec, Maria Fernanda Luzuriaga, 40 years old.
Luzuriaga was accused of denouncing irregularities within the bank to provide a loan of $ 800,000 to Argentine businessman Gaston Duzac, besides being ousted from office.
Luzuriaga’s car, a Chevrolet Spark, embedded on the side of a pole after losing track and needed help from the fire for two hours to remove it from inside.
Family of Luzuriaga announced that in the coming days will give a press conference on that fact.
