Former Superintendent Carlos Ochoa is called to trial for alleged ideological falsification of document

The judge of the National Court of Justice, Marco Rodríguez, called the former Superintendent of Information and Communication, Carlos Ochoa, to trial as the author of the alleged crime of ideological document falsification. However, it suspended the trial phase because the defendant is outside the country; therefore, he requested INTERPOL to locate him and arrest him.

The defense of the former official asserted that Ochoa will not return to the country and that he would do so only if he has a declaration of innocence. “There are no guarantees regarding the assessment they are making about this process.”
Last week, the attorney general in charge, Ruth Palacios, asked the national judge, Marco Rodriguez, to call to trial the former superintendent of Information and Communication, Carlos Ochoa, as alleged author of the alleged crime of ideological falsification of the document. He also asked to insist on the extradition of the defendant.

Likewise, he requested that the personal and real precautionary measures against the former official be ratified, that is, the preventive detention and the prohibition to dispose of assets for USD $ 86,240.
In recent days, Carlos Ochoa reappeared with a video in which he points out the State Attorney General’s Office to violate their rights “flagrantly” and prosecute him politically. According to the Minister of the Interior, María Paula Romo, the Former Superintendent is in Bolivia asking for asylum after leaving the country accused of alleged falsification and use of false documents.
