Fred Bosch Auctions his ‘QR’ Tattoed Arm on Internet
For several months Fred Bosch wanted to tattoo something on him, finally he decided to tattoo a ‘QR’ code that gives information when you read it with a smart phone.
The advertising agency where he works thought it was a good advertising support and the auction for “the arm” started today on eBay. Bosch, is an Argentinean in his thirties that left his country to live in Portugal and Spain while working in the advertising industry.
“It’s the opposite to slavery and I am not an ad man. This is just an experiment that my company proposed me and that I have liked,” said Bosch.
He visited over 20 tattoo artists in Madrid, but all of them told them it was practically impossible to reproduce the code, also known as ‘bidi’. However, now Fred can upload different contents in his arm, and so far 4,000 downloads have been made.
The use of eBay allowed them to start an auction with the title “Announce yourself in the arm of Fred.” The auction will be done for 30 days and so far it has reached the $60,100 Euros in one day. (AV)
