Gadhafi buried because of decomposition

The body of the fallen Libyan tyrant Muammar Gadhafi was buried at dawn in a undisclosed location in the desert along with his son Mutasim and a former member of his government. This measure was taken to avoid any acts of vandalism.

The family of the former dictator wanted that his corpse be buried in the outskirts of Sirte, his hometown. However members of the National Transitional Council (NTC) decided that he should be buried secretly.

A spokesman of NTC informed that Gadhafi had to be buried promptly due to its advanced state of decomposition of his body. The funeral, attended by Muslim clerks and members of his clan, was a simple event. The Libyan dictator was buried in an unmarked grave. (AV)
