Gangs of New York
American film director, Martin Scorsese takes to the small screen his film “Gangs of New York” in the format of a drama series.
On Thursday, the Miramax Films confirmed the news without revealing a release date. Through a statement, Miramax explained that the series portray the “organized gangs in late nineteenth century and shortly after in the U.S., not only in New York, but also in cities like Chicago and New Orleans as well as the start of organized crime in the country. “
Gangs of New York, was set in 1862, which tells the bloody vengeance that Amsterdam Vallon (Leonardo Di Caprio) started against Bill “The Butcher” (Daniel Day-Lewis) in the irish neighborhood of “Five Points” in New York.
