Remnants of a young girl were discovered in a park of Quito
Police confirmed on Saturday the discovery of the remains of Leslie Gabriela Rosero Soria, in the Metropolitan Park of Quito, who had been missing since March 26 of 2013.
The body was found approximately at 14:00 by a woman who was walking with her pet by the parking area.
Next to Rosero’s body, their documents were found, the invoice of a pharmacy, an antidepressant pill bottle and a bottle of water, so the police thought, at first, that she had committed suicide. However, when medical examiners and coroners did the autopsy, they determined that she had died due to asphyxiation by strangulation.
Criminalistics officers indicated that the body of the young woman was in an advanced state of decomposition, she didn’t present gun wounds or signs of aggression. According to the experts, she died at least five days ago, the same day she went missing.
