García does not discard IACourtHR mediation

Attorney Diego Garcia explained that given the abandonment of Cléver Jiménez, Fernando Villavicencio and Carlos Figueroa from the Sarayaku community, the following step for the Ecuadorian State is to meet the rest of the judgment issued by the IACHR.

“If the attitude of the leadership continues, we will ask the IACourtHR an oversight hearing of judgment compliance in which the two parties are present”, he said.

This will generate the scenario where each of the parties give their arguments and the Court will give a guide on the judgment compliance, Garcia emphasized.
