Gold Level for six hospitals in the country

The Accreditation Canada International (ACI) organization conferred the Gold Level to the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital of Cuenca, and the Homero Castanier Crespo, of Azogues, which add to a total of 6 hospitals that already have this recognition, according to David Acurio, Deputy Minister of Health.

44 hospitals have started the certification process, which evaluates procedures, management of emergency levels, and capacity, “the goal is that 44 hospitals are accredited this year,” says Acurio. Patients indicate that care has improved significantly at the Vicente Corral Moscoso hospital.
