The current governor of Guayas, Rolando Panchana, announced in a press conference that from December 20 to December 31 will be held an exhibition of fireworks in the parking lot of the Alberto Spencer Stadium.

The initiative is due  to the agreement between authorities and importers, to combat indiscriminate smuggling of pyrotechnics. Around 200 accredited merchants will be offering their products in this fair, according to Panchana. The fireworks will have a distinctive packaging.

Meanwhile, the Fire Department, as every year, launched its campaign “Say no to pyrotechnics” which seeks to prevent the use of gunpowder to avoid accidents.
