Government is working on optimizing the electrical service

Vice President Jorge Glas reiterated that in August will start the first phase of the replacement of gas by electric cookers, so it is working in a management model so that the electrical service is not interrupted.

“If there are (power outages), must be solved quickly and efficiently,” he said.

As part of the quality improvement of electric service, so far there are 2,010 qualified electricians to change connections of 110 volts to 220 volts, Glas informed.

Also confirmed that the efficiency program is realized jointly by the Ministries of Electricity and Coordination Strategic Sectors, “is a response to the continuity of electric service.”

From 2007 to now, the government has invested $ 6.118 million in the power sector, of which $ 5,214 million were allocated to generation; $ 357 million and $ 547 million in transmission to distribution, according to Vice President.
