Government withdraws Glas’s special protection in prison

The Ministry of Justice has withdrawn the protection and personal safety service to former Vice President Jorge Glas from 00:00 on July 3, as reported on Twitter. Glas remains in Prison 4, in Quito, from October 2, 2017.

Glas was sentenced by the National Court to six years in prison for illicit association in the Odebrecht case. (I)
