Governor of a Pakistan Province is Murdered
Salman Taseer a governor of Punjab province of Pakistan was gunned down during a shootout in the commercial area of Kohsar, located on the federal capital of Islamabad.
Taseer was a prominent figure of the government Party of the Town of Pakistan, which faced a serious political crisis after the retreat of one the Parties that supported the Government of coalition. This is the murder of one of the most prominent politician since the death of Benazir Bhutto, former Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The circumstances of his assassination remain unknown, however Taseer was shoot by one of its bodyguards when he got out of his car. Recently Taseer criticized the bill of blasphemy, which enraged the Islamists.
Pakistan faces a political crisis that exacerbates the instability of a country, which is important for the war against Afghanistan. (AV)
