Gualaceo footwear designers seek to innovate
Innovative designs as the doll shoe model (heels), with a flexible sole which that allows to be folded and be stored inside a handbag in matt or bright colors, similar to the shoes is the innovative idea of Yanisel Zayas, a Cuban who lives in Gualaceo, and Katty Cabrera, daughter of Abraham Cabrera, owner of a factory.
For the Colombian producer, resident for four years in Gualaceo, the cultural differences between people of different regions of Ecuador is notorious, people from the coast are more open and not afraid of strong colors, while people from the mountains are more conservative.
Shoe manufacturers admitted that producing shoes caused some problems after the safeguards, because it increased the cost of raw materials, but agreed that this caused local manufacturers to improve the quality of their offer.
