Guayaquil: Feria Raíces 2020 brings together 27 holes awarded in its five previous editions

The Raíces gastronomic fair opens its doors this Thursday at the Guayaquil Convention Center, as has happened in the last five October editions, but this time 30% of the capacity is allowed, due to restrictions due to the COVID-pandemic. 19.

Raíces 2020 registers 27 holes or dining rooms that were distinguished in the previous five editions, but this time there will be no competition for the Culinary Stars of Gold, Silver and Bronze, or for special mentions, but the typical flavor is guaranteed. The event will last four days.

Gustavo Chero, winner of Raíces 2017 with a ceviche baptized as a mattress breaker, was convinced that the contest will maintain its success, despite the economic blow that families have suffered as a result of the pandemic.

He maintained that the population has shown that they take precautions regarding the virus and that they as exhibitors promote confidence by adopting measures to minimize the risk of contagion.

Chero owns the Gust Conchas picanteria, which serves the Sauces 9 market, north of the city, and has a branch in the Mercado del Río, on the Malecón Simón Bolívar, downtown.
