Guayaquil Has a New Beauty Queen

On saturday 22, Romina Zeballos was elected Queen of Guayaquil 2012. The new city sovereign is 20 years old and is a Performing Arts student.

The evening began with the rythim of “Life is Beautiful” sung by Puerto Rican, Ana Isabelle. Local artists, Hector Napolitano and Martin Galarza (AU-D) sang along with the Puerto Rican artist,  one verse of the songs “Guayaquil de mis Amores” and “Guajira a Guayaquil”.

Adriana Sotomayor was chosen as Miss Congeniality, while Stephanie Hidalgo received the award of Miss Photogenic and Miss Sedal. Other candidates who won awards were Maria Jose Torres, Best Smile, Gabriela Mendez, Miss Silhouette MediSbeltic, and Maria Victoria Paredes was Miss Popularity.

Rocío Cedeño and Carlos Luis Morales were the hostesses of the ceremony which was broadcast live by TC Television (channel 10).
