Guayaquil May Develop Itself as an IBM Smart City

IBM Company presented its new Smart Cities strategy as part of its expansion campaign and because of its 100 years foundation anniversary.
This technology company has projects in terms of transportation, water, energy, education, health care, and other services that are waiting in order to be applied in subsequent years in Guayaquil and in a future it intends to cover Cuenca too.
José Decurnex, general manager of IBM South America, says the projection of the company are services, focusing on business services.
Like Peru and Uruguay, Ecuador adds itself to the IBM geographical expansion strategy in the South American region that promotes the growth of the company in cities beyond capital cities.
