Guayaquil Mayor talks about the economic situation in Ecuador
Jaime Nebot, Mayor of Guayaquil, in an interview with Daily Expreso spoke about the national economy and that of Guayaquil, he made his calculations on the contribution of the Municipality and its allied companies to productive activities.
Nebot explained the importation of the Municipality in the crisis. $ 700 million is the budget for the body distributed in all institutions as the civil registry, the Metrovía tand now the Transit agency.
“It is about millions and millions of dollars, if they are multiplied by five, which is the average amount of the money return, with the particularity that the Municipality invests 15% in salaries and administrative expenses and 85% in works.”
The mayor declined to make comparisons with the government of Rafael Correa. “This is a time to fight for the country, to try to take it forward, to make a call to the good sense, to leave the ridiculous,” he said.
