Guillermo Lasso failure qualifies as failure the Correist model in Carchi

“On the northern border, in Carchi, in San Gabriel, what can be appreciated is really very painful, because all the negative impact of a Correist model that does not work is concentrated there, because this model relies on high prices and the public debt,” maintains the leader of the opposition movement, Creo, Guillermo Lasso.
According to Lasso, the half of the shops-in the Ecuadorian side- have closed and the other half sells less. “That’s not enough,” -said Lasso- “exonerating the payment of the income tax, because if there is no business, there is no gain, and if there is no gain there is no tax.”
“What happens in Carchi is repeated in cities across the country, so this decree of the advance tax exemption should be extended to the entire country. It corresponds to the State to assume the sacrifice of spending less, eliminating the tariff surcharges, cutting excessive taxes.”
