Former banker Guillermo Lasso announced this morning at the Convention Center in Guayaquil, his decision to join the movement Creating Opportunities (CREO for its Spanish acronym) and invited the rest of Ecuadorians to do the same.
I have come to share an important decision I have taken, said Lasso to his supporters. “I made the decision to join the movement CREO”, he said.
Lasso said that CREO is a solid movement throughout the country and even internationally in the U.S. and Europe.
He also criticized the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish Acronym) for having “failed” in its task of ensuring a transparent election process, and he said although “the game rules for the political parties and movements” have changed at the last minute, he “accepted the challenge”. (MZ)
