Hedge funds would start new lawsuits

This proposal seeks to bring out the country of the default avoiding the blocking of payments of its restructured debt payments.

“It is a blatant violation of court orders. The court order prohibits changing the payment mechanism of the redeemed bonds without court approval”, said Robert Cohen, a lawyer for NML Capital.

“We will take the appropriate steps to do what we have at our disposal in the courts of the United States to make sure that this plan will not be implemented”, he said.
