Hugo Chavez Ends Radiotherapy with Success
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez returned to his country from Cuba after eleven days. Chavez announced that he has successfully finished his radiotherapy treatment against the cancer, this way the Venezuelan leader dismissed any rumors about his failing health. In Caracas, Chavez congratulated his ministers for the development of the government programs and lashed out against the opposition along with its campaign for the upcoming elections on October 7. The latest rumors about his radiotherapy treatment said that he was forced to use a wheelchair to move. Chavez got out of the plane, and walked down its stairs to salute his supporters in the Maiquetia airport. Chavez said, “I must inform that in the last days we have concluded successfully all the cycle of radiotherapy planned by the medical team.” The Venezuelan leader stated “beyond some discomfort with the treatment nothing happened that forced its stop, suspension the original plan.” (AV)
