Lady Gaga the World-wide pop sensation has found a way of turning fame into a real movement! A movement to stop the bullying of people, and promote love and tolerance. Led by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the Born This Way Foundation (BTW) was created on a Wednesday, March 2 of 2012.
The BTW Foundation has a strong purpose, to foster a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. The foundation is dedicated to the creation a safe community that helps connect young people with the skills and opportunities they need to build a braver, kinder world.
Lady Gaga believes that everyone has the right to feel safe and someday she expects to see a world full of acceptance, bravery and love.
The Foundation convinces us to let our friends and family know about the important mission of the foundation, and help us to understand the main objective and the problem to be solved. Our help truly matters.
The foundation has a very helpful feature for the mission, you can write about your story of bravery and let you share it with the rest of the world. Your story can inspire others to do the same. There are multiple videos in the official webpage of the foundation with lots of testimonies of people that look forward to support the movement of creating a better society; these videos will point you in the right direction.
You can also make a donation to help support the efforts of the people working for the BTW Foundation mission.
The Three Pillars of Born This Way Foundation
1. Safety: Creating a safe place to celebrate individuality.
When provided with a safe environment, young people are able to explore themselves. So the foundation will provide support through an online community that engages users in ways that celebrate their individuality.
2. Skills: Teaching advocacy, promoting civic engagement, and encouraging self-expression.
It’s not enough to simply tell the people about the importance of making a change. The foundation will provide the people interested in the mission; the skills, tools and resources they need to feel empowered and lead.
3. Opportunity: Providing ways to implement solutions and impact local communities.
The BTW Organization is only as strong as the supporters. That is why the foundation will be providing opportunities for the people to take the work of the foundation, to their local communities so the people interested in the mission can be able to lead the charge in impacting their surroundings.
Personally I think it is great how Gaga is using her strong influence for good.
The Born this Way Foundation persuades you to take a step further for the good of mankind. (ARL)
