Huaorani leaders are waiting to have a meeting with the Justice Minister, Carmen Simone, to ask that the Ministry that she is in charge of, form a Commission to locate the site of the alleged attack to the Taromenane people which remain in voluntary isolation.
The President of the Huaorani nationality, Cawetipe Yeti, indicated that in his view, members of the Inter-American Commission of human rights (IACHR) should be part of the team to try to verify the alleged attack.
So far, the Prosecutor’s Office of Orellana hasn’t confirmed the place where presumably occurred a Huaorani attack against a the Taromenane group, therefore, Vice President of the Huorani nationality, Giloberto Nenquimo, has requested the resumption of the search by air.
On the issue of the two missing Taromenane girls, Yeti indicated that they respond to the names of Colta and Daboca. Both are in the care of the family of Ompore Omeway, murdered by the taromenanes on March 5.
Regarding the condition of the children, the Ministry of justice denied that their health has been affected.
