Identity theft in peruvian soccer clubs
According to the assembly member Rolando Panchana (Alianza Pais), the Peruvian team player, Max Barrios Prado, who is currently playing in the Sub-20 South American Championship in Argentina, usurped his identity.
He really is a 25 years old Ecuadorian player named Juan Carlos Espinosa Mercado.
Panchana wants an investigation for what he thinks to be an identity theft and an offense against public faith. The Civil Registry states that Espinosa was born on July 23 of 1987, in the province of El Oro and his ID number is 0802938233.
The assembly member affirms that Espinosa played for Liga de Loja in 2010, which was confirmed by Jaime Villavicencio, president of the soccer club.
He ensures that in 2010, year when Espinosa disappeared, the player was fired “because of disciplinary acts. He was around 22 which means he’s 25 now.” (JBM)
