IESS will send its funds report to the Comptroller

Posted On 05 Feb 2016

The Chairman of the Board of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS), Richard Espinosa, announced yesterday he will send to the Comptroller’s office the report on alleged errors in interest payments of reserve funds of affiliates to identify those responsible.

Espinoza yesterday toured a hospital (in Guayaquil) under construction, which as he said, has progressed a 65% and is expected to be opened this summer.

The official noted that inconsistencies in the payment of funds have already been corrected, but people that still have doubts may approach the IESS offices.

Finally, he insisted that the IESS is “more solvent than ever” and every penny of its savings will be paid to all the affiliates.
